The media serves as a watchdog in society, playing a crucial role in exposing and reporting corruption. In Zaria Local Government, Kaduna State, print media outlets have been pivotal in uncovering corruption cases and holding public officials accountable. By providing investigative reporting and analysis, print media informs citizens and shapes public discourse on corruption. Media credibility—defined as the public’s trust in the accuracy, objectivity, and fairness of news reports—is essential for maintaining this role (Adebayo & Gambo, 2023).
